let me know what time works for you and i'll be over! sounds like it'll be fun
[And sure enough, at the appointed time he'll show up to knock on your door! He's a little late, but it's not like you've had to wait forever for him.]
[He'd actually be surprised if Shigure were on time; he doesn't seem like that kind of person, honestly... That said, he'll open the door quickly enough, and when he does he is greeting you in, uh.
He doesn't have his right arm in whatever the hell apparatus came with it, he's left that in his room, but the rest of it is intact in all its overdone glory; friendly reminder that he used to be the goddamn Pope, he supposes. That said, he does seem highly aware that this thing is completely dumb and he's decided to just own it; his hair is tied back as it always is, though it seems to have undergone a color change since you last saw him.]
It is absolutely dreadful.
[He sounds amused, in a way that he usually doesn't.]
More clothes, though they're decidedly less...whatever is happening here; there's also a pendant of some sort, and a sword I have no idea how to use. I can show you, if you'd like.
[He'll disappear into one of the rooms nearby for the sake of retrieving a couple of them; when he comes back, he's got...a really pointlessly long sword with a white pommel with some kind of ornate design on it and no crossguard, as well as something else that's presumably the pendant in his hand. He'll pass the sword over first, at any rate.]
It might just be me, but that seems a bit impractical to use.
It might be good to know how to just in case, but yeah, I can understand why you wouldn't want to.
Tell you what, whenever I get my sword back, we can test it out. See if that'll help you remember it. If it doesn't, we don't have to try again, if you don't want to. But that'd probably be the easiest way to try to remember it.
[No killing involved! It'll be fun useful! Probably.]
Yes, of course. It's good that people from the network are being helpful, however.
[He'll pass the pendant over as well before just... Okay, apparently he's going to sit on the floor nearby instead of taking the couch like a sane person. Just sweeping the mantle he's got on out of the way and parking it on the ground, this is fine.]
Meanwhile, I don't recognize anything about that. It's obviously handmade, but I don't know who made it or why.
Rather plain, actually... I remember wearing it when I was out hunting with-
[...Ah, right.]
...I told you that I knew that girl we've both seen, the one with the large, uncontrolled braid. I've remembered a bit more about her recently; she was my sister-in-law, Velvet.
...Assuming that I'm correct regarding who she was, she was a good person. Her name was Celica; she seems to have saved me once. She came across me when I was at a very low point in my life, in the middle of the woods and more or less waiting to die, and she tried to convince me that it was worth staying alive. I don't know exactly what happened after that, but I did end up going with her when she offered to take me back to her home.
She was very kind, and very beautiful. I haven't remembered much else about her, however.
Someone that's willing to show kindness like that to someone she just met, to offer generosity to someone she doesn't even know - I'd like it if I could have found at least some happiness with someone like that in my past life.

i'm guessing it's a surprise?

This shitty thing.

Come in, though. It was good of you to come.

You weren't kidding, it really is dumb! Just look at it!
[He's seen it in his memories, but he was never focused on it for very long and now that he's actually getting a look at it...]
Damn, who let you dress yourself like that? That's amazing.
no subject
[Come on, inside; he'll close the door once we're in.]
Take the couch if you want, it's fine with me.
[Not like...there's a lot else in here? There's space and a decent amount of light, but the decor is like. Minimalist to a fault.]
no subject
[He laughs again before moving to the couch, he'll take one side which should leave you plenty of room if you're going to join him there.]
Nice place you've got here.
[It's so... neat and spacious... how do you live without tripping over fifty cat toys???]
So aside from the outfit and the hair, anything else you've gotten lately?

[It's actually not sarcastic, it's a genuine question.]
I've remembered how to use a sword, but the one I was practicing with was way too short. Even this one's a little on the short side. For me, anyway.
[He doesn't have a ton of memories about swords, but that seems right given the one he had in those memories.]
You can probably learn how to use it by swinging it around.
no subject
...I'd prefer not to, but I suppose it might be useful to know how.
no subject
[Not like he feels the same way, but that's fine, probably.]

[He isn't sure he could kill anything if he had to?]

[Mm.]
How did you remember, if you don't mind my asking?
no subject
I figure this'd be easier, though.
[And probably much better for Arthur, from the sound of it.]

Huh. It's kinda cute? I don't recognize it either, though.
[He'll pass it back over, not bothered at all by the fact that you're just. on the floor now. As you do??]
What's the other outfit?
no subject
[...Ah, right.]

[#priorities]
Your sister-in-law, though? Huh. So what was your wife like?
[...is it weird that he's having trouble picturing Arthur being married??]

She was very kind, and very beautiful. I haven't remembered much else about her, however.

[It's probably kind of weird to remember something like that, though...]
