If he's perfectly honest, he's supremely wigged out by what he's just heard, and wondering how the hell someone like Arthur could have done something like that in his past life. I'm not going to deny that it sounds bad. No sense in trying to do that. But we don't know everything about what happened yet. We'll both probably get some more memories about it soon, and we can compare what we've learned and see if it'll shed any more light on it.

That's what I was thinking. It's not easy to think about, but knowing what the thought process was helps a bit. Especially when it comes to something like this. If there really wasn't any other way to combat the malevolence... well, I can see why a decision like that is something you could come to. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds crazy. But it's the sort of crazy someone who is really desperate to save the world could agree with.

I have reason to think that something...bad may happen, as a result of Retrospec giving us things from our past lives. It isn't anything life-threatening or unlivable, and I'll be all right. But... Well. Can I contact you, if things are difficult?

I've remembered being injured, and the damage I took from it seems to have been permanent. I was partially paralyzed on my right side, I lost the use of my arm from the shoulder down.
[He remembers Arthur having use of both arms, but now that he thinks about it, he does remember Arthur keeping his right arm covered by that exact same ridiculous outfit...]

People actually took me surprisingly seriously. I know I gave a speech once - talking to a large number of people about how I planned on shackling them all with the bonds of reason, and serve as a blade to dispel calamity and rid them of their suffering. It was a bit like welcoming them all to the cult, honestly...
Yikes. Didn't realize we were a pretentious cult! I'm not sure what to think of the people going along with all of this either... Either they were all very desperate, or really crazy. Not sure which one I prefer.
