It might be good to know how to just in case, but yeah, I can understand why you wouldn't want to.

Tell you what, whenever I get my sword back, we can test it out. See if that'll help you remember it. If it doesn't, we don't have to try again, if you don't want to. But that'd probably be the easiest way to try to remember it.

How did you remember, if you don't mind my asking?

Went out with a guy from the network, he let me borrow a sword and I practiced against some of the monsters that are out beyond the city.

I figure this'd be easier, though.

[And probably much better for Arthur, from the sound of it.]

Yes, of course. It's good that people from the network are being helpful, however.

[He'll pass the pendant over as well before just... Okay, apparently he's going to sit on the floor nearby instead of taking the couch like a sane person. Just sweeping the mantle he's got on out of the way and parking it on the ground, this is fine.]

Meanwhile, I don't recognize anything about that. It's obviously handmade, but I don't know who made it or why.

[He'll take it and turn it over, just looking at the design for a moment.]

Huh. It's kinda cute? I don't recognize it either, though.

[He'll pass it back over, not bothered at all by the fact that you're just. on the floor now. As you do??]

Rather plain, actually... I remember wearing it when I was out hunting with-

[...Ah, right.]

...I told you that I knew that girl we've both seen, the one with the large, uncontrolled braid. I've remembered a bit more about her recently; she was my sister-in-law, Velvet.

...Who names their kid "Velvet"...

Your sister-in-law, though? Huh. So what was your wife like?

...Assuming that I'm correct regarding who she was, she was a good person. Her name was Celica; she seems to have saved me once. She came across me when I was at a very low point in my life, in the middle of the woods and more or less waiting to die, and she tried to convince me that it was worth staying alive. I don't know exactly what happened after that, but I did end up going with her when she offered to take me back to her home.

She was very kind, and very beautiful. I haven't remembered much else about her, however.

She does sound like a great person. You really lucked out there! I'm sure you'll remember more about her.

[It's probably kind of weird to remember something like that, though...]

Someone that's willing to show kindness like that to someone she just met, to offer generosity to someone she doesn't even know - I'd like it if I could have found at least some happiness with someone like that in my past life.

[He pauses for a moment before just kind of shaking his head a bit.]

What was her name? Do you remember that yet?

I've never prioritized settling down with a wife and kids.

[...So yeah, kinda. That said, he pauses for a moment, because uh.]

...Her full name was Celica Crowe. When I introduced myself to her back then, I lied to her; I told her my name was Arthur, but I started to call myself something else first before changing to that instead.

[You can see where all of that is probably really awkward.]

[You know, he honestly has no idea how to respond to that, give him a moment...]

That sounds... kinda weird to remember.

It was...strange, yes.

[The whole name thing is a little weird, yeah...

Anyway.]

How about you? Have you remembered anything recently...?

I remembered a couple of things. First of all, I was part of that Abbey organization you were running. I was a "legate" and an "exorcist" but I didn't get any context for what that means as part of that organization.

[He's not exactly surprised, seeing as Shigure was there while some stuff was apparently going down...]

Unfortunately, I don't have much context for that either, at least not yet.

Yeah, I guess I'll remember more about it in time.

The other thing I remembered is "daemons". They're basically monsters, but some of them used to be people or animals and because of "malevolence", they became daemons. Don't ask me what "malevolence" is, because I've got no idea.

[He doesn't even really sound exasperated, he's just accepted that this is his lot in life. He remembers something and then has no context for it.]

...I've remembered fighting monsters before. It was one of the first things I recalled, I believe I told you about it.

I didn't know that they were previously people, however.

Yeah. I don't know how many of the monsters were people, but that's something I remembered. I figured it'd be good to let you know about that.

I did get something from Retrospec as well though it's uh... a little different than the stuff you got.

Morgrim. My cat companion. She's uh...

[He gestures for a moment, like he's trying to figure out how to explain it.]

She's already here? She just kind of...

[You'll hear a voice after a moment, one that's definitely not Shigure's.]

Honestly, Shigure. This is a bit embarrassing to watch.

[And just like that, Morgrim appears on the floor at Shigure's feet. She's very much a chubby white cat, and she looks at Arthur for a moment before speaking again, although the voice just seems to come from her somehow. Don't ask questions we don't have the answers to.]
