I've remembered you, too, if that's what you're asking. Or at least, someone who looks a great deal like you.

[This is probably something that he should find weird, but nah, not really. He's just as relaxed as always.]

Yeah? You remember anything specific, or just the appearance?

I remembered that you were with me, watching something happen. We were up on some sort of balcony overlooking a room below. There were people down there, being consumed by some sort of void that opened up below them.

I don't know what caused it or why it happened. Just what I've told you. I do know that we didn't seem bothered by it.

Either way, I think it's pretty safe to say our past lives aren't going to be boring.

I didn't think my past life would be boring, but it's good to hear we've got some crazy things to look forward to remembering!

Pretty crazy to think our past lives came from the same world. What are the odds of that? Guess we'll have to keep in contact, to compare notes on whatever crazy things we remember.

[Within the realm of possibility, yeah, but completely unlikely? But that's. fine.]

I do remember using a sword at some point or another. Apparently I was good with it. I wasn't fighting humans, though - they were some of those supernatural things I was able to see, I think. Monsters.

Monsters, huh...? Sounds like it'd be fun! I remember thinking you must've been a pretty good fighter, though I'm not entirely sure why I was so convinced of that.

Guess I was wrong, huh? You didn't turn out to be a black mage. Never would've figured for you using a sword!

Hah, was there? Good to know I wasn't completely wrong!

Unfortunately, I was a bit too angry to enjoy the fight, if such a thing can be enjoyable in the first place. Whatever caused me to fight those things in the first place apparently wasn't going over very well.

Oh yeah? Do you remember anything else about it?

I don't. Simply that it happened.

[...well i mean there was the part where he's pretty sure something broke his shoulder and he just switched hands with his sword and kept going, but that's- ]

I just know that I've never been that angry in my life.

You don't really seem like the sort to get that worked up. Whatever happened must've been pretty damn bad. I'm sure you'll remember more about it eventually.

Not that I particularly want to remember something like that.

That's fair. Seems like it'd be a pain to remember it, at the very least. If most of these memories come with some kind of feelings attached, it'd probably be really damn bad.

He doesn't know what to do with that and it shows; he's never been the most expressive in the face, and he still isn't now, but he seems a bit unsure of how to respond for a good long moment before he settles. He definitely does seem to appreciate it, however.]

It's appreciated. I have no idea if things'll get bad for me, but I'll be sure to keep that in mind!

[He settles easily enough once that's out there; the whole thing really doesn't seem to bother him any, but it's not like his words are insincere. He does appreciate it, and he will remember it, should he ever need it.]

Thanks for tracking me down to talk about all of this. I wasn't exactly sure if I should contact you about it or not! It would've been pretty damn weird if I was wrong and that guy was someone else!

I wasn't positive either. But if we're both remembering something along those lines, it's not likely that it's just a coincidence.

You're welcome, though. As I said, anytime you want. I don't mind, even if it turns out to be weird or pointless.

Weird and pointless can still be fun. Who knows what else we've got to remember? It could turn out to be pretty interesting.

[...Well, there was the part where he was very upset and then he met some girl in the woods with his current last name, that's kind of...he's not sure if he likes it? And mentioning that he killed a child, or that he's probably going to end up partially paralyzed someday if what everyone says is true, both seem kind of like something that exactly no one is going to know how to deal with. So.]

Perhaps I'll look at them. But like I said, not today.
